Register in-library computers for auto-login to e-resources and DRS content

Follow the instructions here and then submit your request using the link at the bottom of the page.

Submit a help request using the link at the bottom of the page to register or update IP addresses associated with library public access computers. Registered computers are allowed access to restricted E-Resources and DRS content without requiring individual HarvardKey login.

You can verify whether an IP address is already registered by sending an API query to https://inlib-adm.lts.harvard.edu/api/inlib/[IP address] , for example https://inlib-adm.lts.harvard.edu/api/inlib/128.103.34.24 .

Required information:

  • IP address or range to be added -- can either be listed as single IPs or as an IP range (see note)
  • Library location
  • Contact name and email

Note about subnets or other IP ranges: Our licenses prevent us from registering whole subnets unless they are completely contained within the physical bounds of a Harvard Library. Subnets that include computers outside of a library cannot be registered.

IPv4 vs. IPv6: Only IPv4 addresses can be registered for in-library access. We do not yet support IPv6.
